Eric S. Hylick, MBA
Founder, Chairman and CEO
H2 Media Production Inc.
Eric S. Hylick, MBA, is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of H2 Media Production Inc., the company behind Build Network TV, or BNTV, and President of the Orlando Urban Film Festival Foundation. His career reflects more than 26 years of experience across business strategy, enterprise technology, cloud architecture and leadership. Over the years, he has worked with organizations to modernize operations, solve complex business challenges and create measurable value. These experiences shaped his understanding of how people, technology, processes and strategy must work together to achieve lasting results.
His journey to becoming a CEO was not simply about reaching a senior position. It was about recognizing an opportunity to build something with a larger purpose. After spending years helping other organizations transform and grow, he saw the potential to create a platform that could bring together media, technology, entrepreneurship and community impact. This vision eventually led to the development of BNTV, a media platform designed to connect audiences with entertainment, information, education and opportunities while also giving independent creators a stronger path to visibility.
Build something that creates value beyond yourself.
For Eric, leadership has always been connected to responsibility. He believes that being a leader means solving meaningful problems, developing people and creating results that can continue beyond the leader himself. His professional career includes major enterprise transformation initiatives and projects that generated multimillion-dollar business outcomes. He also became an author and certified leadership coach, allowing him to combine his professional experience with his interest in helping others grow. His work with the Orlando Urban Film Festival Foundation has further expanded this mission by supporting filmmakers, musicians, veterans, students and creators from communities that have often lacked access to major platforms.
As CEO of H2 Media Production Inc., Eric has developed a vision that goes beyond creating another streaming service. He sees BNTV as a global media and technology ecosystem where purpose and opportunity can meet. The platform brings together areas such as entertainment, entrepreneurship, education, sports, news, financial empowerment, artificial intelligence and community engagement. His goal is to create an environment where audiences can discover valuable content while creators can gain access to distribution, exposure and potential business opportunities.
The company’s priorities for 2026 reflect this larger vision. Eric is focused on expanding original programming, developing stronger content and distribution partnerships, growing the network’s sports and news divisions and exploring intelligent technology that can improve experiences for both viewers and creators. Another important goal is creating a more complete pathway for independent creators. Rather than simply giving creators a place to publish their work, BNTV aims to support discovery, distribution, audience development and monetization. This approach reflects Eric’s belief that talent should have access to opportunity, not simply attention.
His leadership style combines vision with systems thinking and practical execution. His background in enterprise architecture has taught him to look at an organization as a complete system. People, processes, technology, revenue, risk and long-term strategy all have to work together. At the same time, he understands that even the best strategy has little value without execution. He therefore sets clear expectations, encourages ownership and makes sure employees understand how their individual responsibilities contribute to the wider mission.
Eric also believes that strong leadership is about developing other leaders. Rather than creating a team that depends entirely on the CEO, he wants people to become confident decision-makers who can carry the mission forward. He motivates his team by respecting their expertise, encouraging professional growth and maintaining accountability. In his view, people perform at their best when they understand both what they are expected to achieve and why their work matters.
The media industry presents significant challenges, including intense competition, fragmented audiences, rising content costs and rapidly changing consumer expectations. Independent creators often face an additional challenge: finding reliable distribution and sustainable ways to generate revenue. Artificial intelligence has added another layer of opportunity and complexity, particularly around creativity, ownership and authenticity. Eric believes organizations must respond to these changes without losing sight of quality and purpose.

BNTV is addressing these challenges through diversified revenue streams, multi-platform distribution, strategic partnerships and investment in scalable technology. The company is also working to strengthen content quality, rights management and audience intelligence. For Eric, growth must be supported by the right systems. Rapid expansion without strong operations can create problems instead of value, so his approach combines ambition with discipline.
Innovation is another important part of his leadership philosophy. Eric believes innovation starts with listening to the people a company serves. BNTV pays attention to viewers, creators, advertisers, partners and wider cultural changes. The team looks at what audiences watch, where they consume content, how they engage and what they believe is missing. Ideas can then be tested and developed by combining data with human judgment.
His technology background allows him to evaluate new trends carefully rather than simply following every popular development. Eric asks whether a new idea can improve customer experience, increase access, improve efficiency or create measurable value. If it can, he believes in moving forward decisively. If it does not provide meaningful value, there is no reason to adopt it simply because it is fashionable.
One achievement Eric is particularly proud of is the expansion of BNTV into a multi-platform network. The network’s programming can reach audiences through Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Android TV, mobile applications and the web. This distribution gives BNTV the ability to reach audiences beyond a traditional local market and creates more opportunities for creators and partners.
However, Eric sees the technology as only part of the achievement. He is equally proud of building a content ecosystem around original programming, independent film, business education, public affairs and sports. At the heart of this work is the goal of giving overlooked voices greater visibility. For him, a successful media platform should not only attract audiences but also create meaningful opportunities for the people whose stories it shares.
As the organization grows, Eric places strong importance on company culture. He believes culture is created through everyday actions rather than slogans. Integrity, excellence, accountability, collaboration and respect are central values within the organization. At the same time, he believes a positive culture must be connected to measurable performance. Goals need to be established, results need to be reviewed and difficult issues need to be addressed honestly.
For aspiring entrepreneurs and future CEOs, Eric emphasizes the importance of building identity before building a brand. Entrepreneurs need to understand why they are doing the work because external recognition can change quickly. He also encourages future leaders to learn areas outside their personal strengths, including finance, sales, operations and leadership. Building a successful organization requires a broad understanding of how a business works.
He also stresses the importance of relationships, reputation and continuous learning. Entrepreneurs should surround themselves with people who have skills and experience they do not possess, protect their reputation and document important agreements. Most importantly, they should remain teachable. Confidence can help leaders move forward, but humility and the willingness to learn help them make better decisions over the long term.
Success is built through vision, discipline and purpose.
Looking ahead, Eric plans to continue developing BNTV into a global, technology-enabled media company with stronger original content, sports, news, creator services, education and interactive digital experiences. He also sees opportunities for deeper partnerships between brands, communities and storytellers.

Beyond his role as a CEO, Eric intends to continue writing, coaching and creating platforms that help people develop identity, opportunity, wealth and legacy. His ambition extends beyond building a successful company. He wants to build an institution capable of creating lasting impact. For Eric Hylick, the ultimate measure of leadership is not simply what can be achieved today, but what can be created for the generations that follow.
