She also leads Medical Events and Daisy Lee Events, creating platforms that bring healthcare professionals together for learning, collaboration, and recognition. Her professional journey began in healthcare, where she gained first-hand experience of the challenges facing both professionals and healthcare systems. While working in the field, she noticed that many healthcare workers were making valuable contributions but were rarely recognised for their efforts. She also saw the need for greater entrepreneurial support, professional development, and opportunities for collaboration. Instead of waiting for someone else to solve these challenges, she decided to create solutions herself. This decision became the foundation of her leadership journey and the driving force behind the organisations and initiatives she has built.

The African Health Excellence Organisation was established with a clear purpose of promoting excellence in healthcare through education, recognition, and collaboration. Recognising that education should continue beyond conferences, she also launched the Healthcare Entrepreneurship Webinar Series after the success of the Healthcare Entrepreneurship Conference. Like many entrepreneurs and leaders, Sylvia’s journey has not been without challenges. Limited resources, scepticism, and the difficulty of transforming ambitious ideas into reality tested her determination.
