CIO Global is proud to recognize Lance A. Slatton as a Visionary Healthcare Influencer to Follow in 2026.

Across healthcare, caregiving, and long-term care, Lance has earned a reputation for transforming complex information into practical guidance that helps families make informed decisions. His work combines frontline experience, media leadership, education, and advocacy to improve understanding of aging, dementia, caregiving, and long-term support.

Lance has spent more than 13 years working directly with older adults, caregivers, and families as a Senior Case Manager, alongside his broader experience in healthcare, home care, caregiving, media, and advocacy. Today, his work spans three complementary roles. Through Enriched Life Home Care Services, he continues supporting families on the front lines of care. Through All Home Care Matters, he provides trusted educational resources to a global audience. Through AlzAuthors, he connects readers with books and authors dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, caregiving, grief, aging, brain health, and family experiences.

His professional mission was shaped by personal experience. Earlier in life, Lance planned to pursue medical school, but those plans changed when his father became seriously ill. What was expected to be a brief stay in the family home became nearly three years of caregiving involving seven major surgeries and round-the-clock support.

During that time, Lance and his family experienced the realities many caregivers know well—balancing work, family responsibilities, medical appointments, recovery, finances, and emotional strain while trying to make the best possible decisions. The experience showed him that families often receive medical information without practical guidance for managing daily life, and that family caregivers remain one of the most essential yet overlooked parts of the healthcare system.

Rather than returning to his original career path, Lance dedicated himself to helping families navigate similar challenges with greater confidence and support.

That commitment led to the creation of Enriched Life Home Care Services, a family-owned home-care company where Lance serves as co-founder and Senior Case Manager. Working directly with older adults and their families has given him firsthand insight into caregiver burnout, workforce shortages, financial pressures, fragmented care systems, delayed planning, and the growing demand for quality home-based care. These experiences continue to shape every aspect of his leadership and advocacy.

In 2020, Lance expanded that mission by founding All Home Care Matters. What began as an educational platform has evolved into a nationally and internationally recognized senior-care, caregiving, and long-term-care media ecosystem designed to educate, connect, and empower families and professionals alike.

Today, the platform includes professionally produced long-form interviews, short-form educational videos, a major audio podcast, written articles, editorial resources, community initiatives, and digital content distributed across multiple platforms. It serves as a central destination where caregivers, clinicians, researchers, healthcare executives, nonprofit leaders, authors, advocates, policymakers, public officials, and people living with dementia share knowledge and experience.

All Home Care Matters has produced more than 500 episodes, built a YouTube community of more than 114,000 subscribers, and generated more than 26 million YouTube views. The platform has received the YouTube Silver Creator Award and has been recognized by AARP as a recommended caregiving podcast, reflecting its credibility and growing impact across the caregiving community.

Across more than 500 episodes and hundreds of in-depth interviews, Lance has explored nearly every aspect of senior care and caregiving with leading experts from healthcare, research, government, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy. Those conversations, combined with his own professional experience, have given him a broad understanding of both the personal and systemic challenges facing older adults and their families.

His ability to translate expert knowledge into practical guidance has made him a trusted voice in senior care. Rather than focusing only on awareness, Lance encourages meaningful action by helping families better understand available resources, navigate complex care systems, and prepare for future decisions before a crisis occurs.

His work also highlights many of the challenges shaping the future of caregiving, including the growing family-caregiving crisis, shortages within the professional direct-care workforce, the rising cost of long-term support, dementia stigma, fragmented care systems, and the need for stronger collaboration between healthcare providers, community organizations, employers, and policymakers. He believes family caregivers should be recognized as essential partners in healthcare and that improving access to education, respite services, and home-based care will be critical as populations continue to age.

Dementia advocacy remains central to Lance’s work. He encourages earlier conversations, timely diagnosis, and greater public understanding while promoting dignity, independence, and respect for people living with dementia. He also reminds families that behavior should be understood as communication and that caregivers deserve meaningful inclusion throughout the care journey.

Technology is another area where Lance brings a balanced and forward-looking perspective. He believes innovations such as artificial intelligence, telehealth, remote monitoring, and digital health platforms can improve access to information, strengthen caregiver education, enhance safety, support communication, and help families coordinate care more effectively. At the same time, he emphasizes that technology should always complement—not replace—professional judgment, compassion, dignity, and the human relationships at the heart of caregiving.

As Lance says:

“Technology should strengthen care, never replace compassion.”

His public identity as “The Senior Care Influencer” reflects more than a recognizable title. It represents his role as an educator, interviewer, advocate, media founder, and connector who brings together families, healthcare professionals, researchers, nonprofit organizations, authors, and public leaders to improve conversations around aging and long-term care. For Lance, influence is measured by whether the information shared helps families make better decisions, supports caregivers during difficult moments, and advances more compassionate systems of care.

This same philosophy guides his leadership as President and owner of AlzAuthors, a global community and digital resource dedicated to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, caregiving, grief, aging, brain health, and family experiences. Through the AlzAuthors Digital Library, visitors can search trusted books by category, title, and author, making it easier for families, caregivers, and professionals to find reliable educational resources. Under Lance’s leadership, AlzAuthors has become closely connected with the broader All Home Care Matters platform, helping important books and caregiving voices reach wider audiences through interviews, articles, podcasts, and digital media.

Lance is also the award-winning author of The All Home Care Matters Official Family Caregiver’s Guide, a practical resource created to help families navigate every stage of the caregiving journey. The book received an International Impact Book Award and was recognized by BookAuthority as a leading new home-care book, reinforcing his commitment to providing practical guidance grounded in real-world experience.

Beyond his work as an author and media leader, Lance is a keynote speaker, moderator, interviewer, and published contributor to respected healthcare and senior-care publications. His ability to bring together experts from multiple disciplines has helped foster meaningful dialogue around the future of caregiving, aging, dementia care, and long-term support.

His professional service also includes serving as a juror for the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts in 2023, 2024, and 2025, reflecting his commitment to excellence in digital communication and educational media.

Looking ahead, Lance believes the future of senior care depends on stronger partnerships among healthcare providers, community organizations, researchers, employers, policymakers, technology innovators, and families. He advocates for earlier planning, improved access to home-based care, greater support for family caregivers, reduced dementia stigma, and systems that are easier to navigate. He also believes responsible innovation can expand access to trusted resources while preserving the compassion and dignity that define quality care.

As he often explains:

“Media has the power to turn trusted information into meaningful action for families.”

Everything Lance has built reflects a single purpose: helping families feel informed, supported, and better prepared during some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether working directly with families through Enriched Life Home Care Services, producing educational conversations through All Home Care Matters, leading AlzAuthors, or speaking with healthcare professionals around the world, he remains committed to making caregiving more accessible, collaborative, and compassionate.

As he reminds audiences:

“True influence is measured by lives touched, not awards earned.”

What began with one family’s unexpected caregiving journey has grown into a nationally and internationally recognized media platform, an award-winning book, a global community of authors, and an interconnected network of resources serving caregivers, families, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders. Through his leadership, Lance A. Slatton continues to build trusted platforms that educate, connect, and empower people navigating aging and long-term care.
