Bekah Gilmer – Designing Intentional Celebrations with Excellence and Heart

Bekah Gilmer is the founder of The Finer Side, a luxury wedding and event planning company known for creating seamless and elevated celebrations. Her journey into the world of events began at just sixteen years old. While many teenagers were still exploring their interests, she was already mentoring alongside some of the most respected coordinators in the Southeast. Those early years shaped her understanding of excellence, organization, and service.
After studying hospitality management and gaining hands-on industry experience, she officially launched The Finer Side with a clear and focused vision – to design intentional, detail-driven events where every client feels fully cared for from start to finish. We at CIO Global, are proud to introduce Bekah Gilmer as one of the Promising Women in Business, 2026.
From the beginning, Bekah’s motivation was rooted in service. She has always found joy in bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences. For her, events are not simply just about logistics or décor – though both are executed with intention and precision. They are about leadership, atmosphere, and emotion. She believes intentional coordination and elevated design create the foundation, allowing space for the kind of atmosphere where guests can be fully present and genuinely enjoy themselves. Seeing a room alive with joy and connection is what makes all the hard work worth it. Building her own company allowed her to reflect her core values – excellence, integrity, and a client-first mindset – in every aspect of her work.

When vision and values align, the entire experience becomes elevated for everyone involved.
The Finer Side operates with a simple but powerful mission: to coordinate stress-free celebrations where every detail feels intentional. Bekah believes that true luxury is not just about aesthetics. It is about creating an experience that feels effortless for the client. Her team focuses on guiding couples with care, managing timelines with precision, and ensuring that no detail is overlooked. The goal is always to make the event feel personal and unforgettable.
As her business grew, one of the greatest challenges she faced was scaling without compromising quality. Growth can be exciting, but it also brings pressure. Bekah understood that maintaining brand standards was non-negotiable. She addressed this challenge by building a team that shares her heart for service and attention to detail. Through mentoring, clear communication, and well-developed systems, she ensures that each event reflects The Finer Side standard.
Bekah is most proud of building a company rooted in reputation. Much of her business comes through referrals and social media, along with repeat clients who trust her with multiple milestones. She does not take lightly the responsibility of planning one of the most important days in a couple’s life. At each event, she reflects with gratitude for the opportunity to serve. Her focus remains on advocating for her clients so they feel seen, heard, valued, and well-served.
Managing work-life balance in the events industry requires discipline and intention. Weekend celebrations and late-night calls are common, and it can be easy for work to consume personal time. Bekah approaches balance with clear boundaries.

She consistently protects her faith, her marriage, and meaningful time with friends and family, along with prioritizing her health through regular workouts. The only way she can serve her clients at the highest level while living well personally is by taking on a limited number of events each season. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure that every client receives her full attention and care.
Several qualities have supported her growth as a businesswoman. Attention to detail, emotional intelligence, resilience, and strong leadership are central to her success. Weddings can be high-pressure and emotional environments. Staying calm, solution-focused, and patient under stress is essential. She also believes communication is one of the most underrated leadership skills. Learning from mentors and prioritizing clear, honest communication has strengthened her ability to lead effectively.
Growth should never come at the cost of quality or integrity.
Her business has made a positive impact by creating peace during what can often feel like a stressful season. Couples regularly share that they felt fully present on their wedding day because Bekah and her team handled everything behind the scenes. This ability to remove stress and allow clients to enjoy the moment is one of the most meaningful parts of her work.

Throughout her journey, Bekah has learned that not every client is the right fit. Saying yes to every opportunity can dilute a brand and drain energy. Now, she focuses on alignment. When expectations, communication styles, and vision match, the experience becomes elevated for everyone involved.
What sets The Finer Side apart is its intentionality. The team does more than coordinate logistics. They curate experiences. From timelines to tablescapes, every detail is approached with strategy and care. They are proactive, organized, and deeply invested in the overall client experience, not just the final look of the event. The team genuinely loves what they do, and it shows in every celebration they create.
Looking ahead, Bekah plans to expand into more destination weddings, grow her team thoughtfully, and continue refining the client experience. Her focus is not on rapid expansion but on sustainable, excellence-driven growth. She is committed to maintaining the reputation and quality that define The Finer Side while continuing to serve new clients with the same heart and dedication that started her journey.
Excellence is not optional when someone trusts you with their most important day.
