Liz Hoop – Leading with Compassion, Purpose, and Service

Liz Hoop is the Owner and CEO of Hoop Cares LLC, a non-medical in-home caregiving company serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Through her work, she provides personalized transportation, companionship, advocacy, and daily support services that help seniors live with dignity, independence, and a strong sense of self-worth. Her organization focuses on meeting people where they are and responding to their individual needs with respect and compassion. Alongside this work, she also launched Charis Home, a personal care and adult day-care concept built around compassionate, faith-centered care. For Liz, caregiving is not simply a profession. It is a calling and a form of service rooted deeply in purpose. We at CIO Global, are proud to introduce Liz Hoop as one of the 10 Most Acclaimed Women in Business, 2026.

Her journey into business began with a deep concern for seniors who were often isolated, overlooked, or falling through the cracks. She saw firsthand that many older adults needed more than basic services. They needed human connection, advocacy, and someone willing to stand in the gap for them. Liz did not begin with the goal of becoming an entrepreneur. Instead, she responded to a clear sense of calling. Business became the structure through which she could serve others with excellence, intention, and accountability.

Success carries responsibility, and growth is most meaningful when it creates space for others to rise.

As her organization grew, Liz experienced a major turning point in her leadership journey. She realized that she could no longer do everything herself if the business was going to grow in a healthy and sustainable way. This shift required her to move from reacting to daily needs to leading strategically. Building systems, trusting her team, and stepping fully into the role of CEO was uncomfortable at first. However, that transition strengthened both her leadership capacity and the organization itself. It allowed the business to grow beyond her individual effort and become a shared mission.

The early years were not easy. Liz faced limited resources, financial pressure, and the emotional weight of carrying the vision largely on her own. There were moments of doubt and uncertainty, especially when outcomes were unclear. She worked through these challenges with persistence, prayer, mentorship, and a commitment to learning. Each obstacle shaped her resilience and brought greater clarity to her purpose. Rather than seeing challenges as setbacks, she learned to see them as lessons that prepared her for greater responsibility.

During difficult seasons, Liz stays motivated by staying connected to her purpose. She regularly returns to the reason she began this journey in the first place – the seniors whose lives are improved every day and the families who depend on reliable, compassionate care. Her faith plays a central role in keeping her grounded. She believes that difficulty often signals growth rather than failure and that challenging seasons can strengthen leaders for what comes next.

Integrity, compassion, accountability, excellence, and stewardship guide Liz’s daily decisions. She views leadership as an act of service rather than authority. Every choice must respect people, protect trust, and align with her values. This approach shapes how she leads her team, serves clients, and builds long-term relationships within the community.

Building strong teams is one of her core priorities. Liz focuses on listening carefully, setting clear expectations, and leading with transparency. She believes people perform at their best when they feel seen, appreciated, and connected to a meaningful mission. Culture matters deeply to her. When team members understand the purpose behind their work and feel respected, they naturally take ownership and grow in confidence.

True leadership begins when purpose leads the way and systems are built to serve people, not the other way around.

Liz believes several skills are essential for women who want to succeed in business today. Resilience helps leaders remain steady during uncertainty. Emotional intelligence supports healthy communication and strong relationships. Adaptability allows leaders to respond to change without losing focus. Financial literacy strengthens decision-making, while confidence ensures women advocate for themselves and their ideas. Above all, she believes women must trust their voice and know it belongs in every room they enter.

In running her organization, Liz balances innovation with stability by first building strong systems. Structure provides consistency and accountability, while innovation allows the organization to evolve responsibly. She regularly reviews what is working, what needs improvement, and where growth makes sense. This balance prevents chaos while avoiding stagnation.

Trust with customers, partners, and stakeholders has been built through consistency, transparency, and follow-through. Liz believes trust grows through everyday actions rather than one-time promises. She communicates clearly, honors commitments, and treats every relationship with care and respect.

Continuous learning remains a priority in her leadership journey. Liz invests in professional development, leadership programs, and industry engagement. Programs such as Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses helped expand her strategic thinking and sharpen her approach. Mentorship has played a vital role in her growth, and she now actively mentors other women through formal and informal channels. She believes true success is measured not only by personal achievement, but by how many others are empowered to rise alongside you.

Caregiving is not just a service to be delivered, but a calling that honors dignity, trust, and human connection.
