Helen Kagan: Visionary Healer and Artist of the Year, 2025
Digital Edition 2025

Helen Kagan, PhD, is a scientist, psychologist, holistic therapist, artist, author, and a survivor of complex PTSD, who has dedicated over 30 years to creating a unique concept called “HealingArts™.” Her journey is rooted in resilience, survival, and a constant search for freedom and expression. Born in the former USSR, where censorship and control were part of daily life, Helen learned early on the value of personal voice and creative freedom. This background shaped her lifelong passion to help others through a fusion of science, psychology, art, and spirituality. We at CIO Global are proud to name Helen Kagan as the Visionary Healer and Artist of the Year 2025.
Coming from a family of scientists, Helen’s always been curious about how it all works, especially the connection between the left and right brains. This curiosity led her to study mathematics and science, and later transition into psychology, therapy, and healing. Eventually, her path brought her into the world of fine arts, where she began developing what would become her life’s mission—HealingArts™. As a refugee to the United States, she arrived with very little: three graduate degrees, no English, a hundred dollars, and two small suitcases. But what she did bring was her Jewish heritage, her strength, and an unshakable drive to explore, express, and heal.

Through her art, Helen creates special “Portals” – sacred spaces that invite people to reconnect with their Higher Self, their inner wisdom, and their most authentic truth. She believes this connection is where true healing begins.
Her HealingArts™ is a reflection of this entire Journey. It combines expressive arts, fine arts, and healing practices to create a powerful tool for emotional, mental and spiritual transformation. Helen’s work is rich in colors and high-vibrational energy, often described as a “symphony of colors.” It aims to bridge different dimensions of reality and acts as a catalyst to bring love, balance, and healing. She believes that art can speak directly to the Soul, bypassing the logical mind and touching something deeper inside each person. Her art uses healing frequencies of colors, sacred geometry, spiritual messages, and energetic balance to open up a path for others to begin their own healing journey.
Helen’s work has not gone unnoticed. Her HealingArts™ has been featured in multiple galleries, exhibitions, catalogues, and international shows. She has been named a “Collectible Artist” and showcased on platforms like Artsy.net. Her influence stretches beyond the art world. She is a bestselling author, co-writing books with thought leaders like Jack Canfield and Jim Britt, and currently working on three new book projects. Helen is a regular contributor to two international magazines and is preparingto launch her own talk show with BoldBrave TV. Recognized globally, she has been honored by PassionVista as a Woman Leader in 2023, featured on the front and back covers of the International Collectors’ Art Guide in 2024, appeared on covers of IMPAAKT and Magnate View in 2025.

Her drive to make a difference is not just limited to creating beautiful art. Helen envisions a world where HealingArts™ is integrated into healthcare, hospitality, and residential environments. She dreams of offering her creations not just as wearable art and homeware, but also as healing tools in hospitals and hotels—places where people need comfort, peace, rest and renewal. For her, art is more than decoration—it’s a method of healing and wellbeing. Dr. Kagan ‘s intention is for her unique HealingArts to be experienced by patients, guests, medical staff, and anyone going through life’s challenges. Her goal is to enhance recovery, reduce stress, and bring joy through intentional healing energy, spiritual messages, and high-frequency vibrations of colors.
“Even when it feels like no one understands, or when the world resists something new, she reminds people that their mission matters.”

Helen’s inspiration to dedicate her life to healing through art came not only from her professional training but also from her personal life challenges. As someone who has faced deep traumas and burnout, she understands pain on a personal level. One of the most pivotal moments in her life came when she completely burned out after years of tirelessly working to help others. She had created culturally competent clinics for underserved immigrant communities, managed programs, and welcomed international delegations to learn from her efforts—all while still adapting to life in a new country and speaking with “broken English.” The stress eventually caught up with her. One day, an ambulance had to take her from the streets of Manhattan to the emergency room. That was another moment that changed everything.
After that, the complex PTSD she had carried for years became overwhelming. Helen was forced to stop working, which for someone so driven, was devastating. But even in that lowest point, she found her way back—not by ignoring her pain, but by turning toward it. Helen began to create and use her own HealingArts™ for herself first. This process of creating, painting, and expressing through art helped her find her “new normal.” It became her medicine, her therapy, her sanctuary. Dr. Kagan deeply believes that this form of healing through art – is available to everyone. Her work is now her way of sharing that light, that possibility, welbeing and gratitude, with the world.
Her healing philosophy is simple, yet profound. Helen believes that “we are spiritual beings having a human experience”. She sees art as a spiritual path and a transformational process. Her HealingArts™ is designed to help people reconnect with their true selves, to find peace, balance, and empowerment. It’s not about escaping reality, but about transforming how we experience it. Helen explains that her art is meant to create sacred, colorful spaces where you can feel joy, love, gratitude, and authenticity. These spaces allow people to relax, reflect, and open their hearts to healing energy.

“These are not just wearable items—they are healing tools disguised as art.”
Over the years, her HealingArts™ has evolved to higher levels of spiritual and emotional resonance. With every new creation, she tries to infuse deeper meaning, stronger intention, and more refined energy. Her works speak on a subliminal level—touching those who view them in ways that may not be fully understood, but are deeply felt. Whether through wearable art, visual installations, or custom-designed wearable items for hospitals and hotels, Helen is always finding new ways to make healing accessible and beautiful.
In her words, “the mission of a visionary artist is to offer a message that can warm the heart, uplift the spirit, and touch the soul”. Helen Kagan’s HealingArts™ is her message to the world. Through her bright exquisite colors, forms and textures, sacred geometry, neurographic ideas, high-vibrational energy, spiritual messages, and energetic balance.

Dr. Kagan offers a pathway back to wholeness—not only for herself, but for every person who encounters her work. As a healing artist who has lived through oppression, immigration, trauma, and transformation, Helen brings unmatched authenticity and power to everything she creates.
Helen Kagan’s HealingArts™ is the result of a lifelong journey through science, psychology, therapy, and spirituality. Her work is not bound to one method or style—instead, it is a rich, vibrant fusion of many healing practices, both traditional and intuitively developed. Throughout her career, she has studied a wide range of healing modalities including Yoga, Tai Chi, Trance-Dance, the Biology of Trauma, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Art Therapy, Sacred Geometry, Neurographics, Spiritual Counselling, Esoteric studies. She’s also graduated from the IM School of Healing, explored, trained and is certified in many healing modalities such as Qi Gong, NLP, Hypnosis, EFT, Psych-K, Polarity Therapy, Reiki, and others. Each of these disciplines added a layer of depth to her understanding of healing, and each one helped shape the unique energy of her HealingArts™.

Her approach is multidimensional and deeply experiential. When someone interacts with her art, it’s not just about looking at colors, shapes, or subject matter —it’s about being surrounded by energy, emotion, and intentional healing frequencies. Her art is designed to transform both the inner and outer space, creating a high-vibrational environment that promotes meditation, peace, reflection, and connection.
What makes Helen’s HealingArts™ different is its ability to bring harmony, light, and love into the viewer’s experience. It is transformational and vibrant, often described as both introspective and emotionally rich. Her background as a first-generation Russian-American adds to the unique flavor of her work. Drawing from Russian artistic traditions and contemporary abstraction, Helen’s art speaks with deep existential emotion and yet maintains a universal message of wellbeing. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about energy, intention, and healing at a soul level.
Helen’s HealingArts™ has travelled widely. Her work has been shown in national and international exhibitions, major art fairs like ArtExpo, Spectrum, RedDot, and Art Basel, and has been featured in multiple magazines, catalogues, and art platforms. She’s received numerous awards and recognition; her art has even been podcasted and filmed. Beyond visual arts, Helen is also a bestselling author and currently working on three more books that explore healing and creative expression.

One of Helen’s most exciting developments is the introduction of Wearable HealingArts®, a new direction that blends her original HealingArts™ with design and fashion. This concept brings healing out of the gallery and into everyday life. Helen envisions a world where people wear her vibrant designs—not just for beauty or style, but as a form of energetic support and healing. From clothing and accessories to footwear, pet wear, and household items, every piece is created with the intention of embracing color, light, and wellness. These are not just wearable items—they are healing tools disguised as art.
“For Helen, creating art is not optional. It is who she is.”
For Helen, HealingArts™ is not confined to studios or exhibitions. She has a powerful vision of bringing healing through art into healthcare and hospitality settings—places where people are often at their most vulnerable state. Dr. Kagan imagines hospital rooms, waiting areas, hotel lobbies, children Hospitals, clinics, Rehab facilities, and many other places needed healing, are filled with her high-vibrational artwork, giving patients, staff, and visitors a chance to pause, breathe, and connect with something beautiful and healing. Helen’s dream is to see her creations used as tools for emotional support and wellbeing across industries that directly impact people’s lives.
Looking to the future, Helen sees the world slowly waking up to the importance of healing and transformation through creative practices. She believes that the future of art is not only in galleries and museums but also in the way it touches lives, uplifts spirits, and helps people heal. Dr. Kagan envisions a new kind of art experience—one that is interactive, immersive, and spiritually enriching. She feels her life’s mission is to continue creating soulful, life-affirming art that brings hope, healing, and beauty into the lives of others.

Helen’s path has not been easy. It took her nearly three decades to fully embrace the truth that she is, at her core, an artist. Over the years, she wore many hats—being a scientist, an engineer, developing clinics, managing programs, writing, healing—but deep down, her soul always called her to paint, to express, and to create. It took time, struggle, and repeated life lessons for her to truly accept that she must do this work, not just for others, but for herself. For Helen, creating art is not optional. It is who she is. It is her way of BEING – healing, inventing, communicating, transforming, giving back.
She doesn’t believe in mistakes—only “Lessons”. Her life is a series of experiences meant to teach resilience, strength, forgiveness, and gratitude. Helen has learned to speak her truth, practice self-love, and honor the journey, no matter how challenging. Her belief in learning from every moment, every challenge, and every emotion is what shapes her approach to both life and art. Through it all, Dr. Kagan has remained committed to her purpose: to offer healing through creativity, to convey color and energy, and to serve as a guide for others on their own journeys.
To young healers and artists, Helen offers a message of encouragement and strength. She urges them not to give up. Even when it feels like no one understands, or when the world resists something new, she reminds them that their mission matters. Innovation takes time. Vision takes courage. And truth takes persistence. She speaks from her own experience—one filled with challenges, setbacks, pain, and uncertainty—but also filled with breakthroughs, joy, and moments of profound clarity. Her advice is simple yet powerful: Keep going. Don’t stop. Trust your message. Believe in your mission.
Helen’s work continues to evolve. With new projects, new books, and new expressions of her HealingArts™, she remains a light for others to follow. Her life is a living example of how healing is possible—even after traumas, losses, or burnouts—and how art can be the bridge between pain and peace. Through colors, movement, textures, symbols, and energy, she shows how the powerful human spirit can rise, again and again, to meet the challenge of becoming whole.
“Her art is designed to transform both the inner and outer space, creating a high-vibrational environment that promotes meditation, peace, reflection, and connection.”
At the heart of everything Helen creates, is Love. Love for the Journey. Love for the Process. Love for the people who see her work and feel something shift inside. And that love radiates through each brushstroke, each design, each piece of art that carries her healing signature. Whether you meet her art on a gallery wall, in a hospital corridor, on a piece of wearable fashion, or through her words, what you receive is much more than an image—it is a soulful invitation to heal, to remember who you are, and to feel alive again.
